Polaris
Polaris is a polished quartzite quarried from bedrock in Brazil, admired for its flowing striations and multi-tonal veining. The stone exhibits a beautiful mix of grey, gold, and brown hues, creating a rich and sophisticated look that adds depth and movement to any design style.
During the polishing process, an epoxy resin is applied to the surface to fill any natural pits, cracks, or fissures that may exist. Some tiny pits may reopen over time, which does not affect the stone’s durability or maintenance. Each slab is book-matched, cut and polished in pairs to create a mirrored flow of pattern. A mesh backing is added to ensure stability and safety during fabrication.
Polaris is available in a Polished finish, stocked in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses, with typical slab dimensions of 128" × 78".
(Note: Natural stone sizes may vary.)
To preserve its beauty and longevity, sealing is recommended:
-
Apply 3 coats of Miracle Sealants 511 Porous Plus or Dry Treat Premium Impregnating Sealer at installation.
-
Re-apply 1 coat every 6 months for maintenance.
-
Seal all cut edges before installation to prevent moisture or oil penetration.
