Perlato Taj Satin

Sale price$0.00

Perlato (Italian for “pearly”) Taj Satin is a quartzite quarried from a bedrock site in Brazil. It displays a harmonious blend of creamy beige, warm gold, and subtle grey tones, making it an elegant and versatile choice for both classic and modern interiors.

This metamorphic quartzite evolved from sandstone through intense heat and pressure, giving it remarkable hardness and resistance to scratches and etching. The satin finish creates a smooth, low-sheen texture that enhances the natural pattern and movement of the stone while adding a refined, tactile feel.

During the brushing process, an epoxy resin is applied to fill natural pits and fissures. Some very fine pits may reopen over time, but this does not affect the stone’s durability or maintenance. Each slab is book-matched, meaning slab one and slab two are cut and polished to create a consistent mirrored flow. A mesh backing is applied to the rear for strength and safety during fabrication.

Perlato Taj Satin is available in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses with typical slab dimensions of 129" × 77".
(Note: Natural stone sizes may vary.)

As a natural stone, sealing is essential for protection and longevity. Arizona Tile recommends:

  • 3 coats of Miracle Sealants 511 Porous Plus or Dry Treat Premium Impregnating Sealer at installation.

  • 1 coat every 6 months thereafter for maintenance.

  • Seal all cut edges prior to installation to prevent water and oil absorption.
