Perlato Taj
Perlato Taj (Italian for “pearly”) is a beautiful quartzite quarried from a bedrock site in Brazil. This metamorphic stone formed from sandstone under extreme heat and pressure, giving it the durability of granite and the luxurious look of marble.
It features a blend of creamy beige, warm gold, and soft grey veining, making it a timeless option for countertops, fireplace surrounds, and accent walls. Each slab is book-matched so two cuts mirror each other for a harmonious pattern flow. During finishing, an epoxy resin is applied to fill any natural pits or fissures; some very fine pits may reopen later, but this does not affect the stone’s integrity or appearance.
Perlato Taj comes in a Polished finish and is stocked in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses with typical slab dimensions of 129" × 77".
(Note: Natural stone sizes may vary.)
To extend the life and beauty of this stone, Arizona Tile recommends sealing with:
-
3 coats of Miracle Sealants 511 Porous Plus or Dry Treat Premium Impregnating Sealer at installation.
-
1 coat every 6 months for maintenance.
-
Seal all cut edges before installation to prevent moisture and oil absorption.
