Nuage

Nuage is a polished quartzite quarried from a bedrock site in Brazil. It is recognized for its off-white base, accentuated by horizontal grey veins and bold white lightning-like streaks, giving it an elegant yet dynamic visual appeal.

This quartzite offers the beauty of marble with the superior strength and durability of quartzite. During the polishing process, an epoxy resin is applied to the surface to fill in any natural pits, cracks, or fissures. Some very fine pits may reopen over time, but this does not affect the stone’s performance or visual quality.

Each slab is book-matched, with consecutive cuts that mirror each other to create a seamless pattern. A mesh backing is applied to enhance strength and ensure safe handling during fabrication.

Nuage is available in a Polished finish and stocked in 2cm and 3cm thicknesses, with typical slab dimensions of 125" × 78".

To protect and preserve its natural beauty, sealing is recommended:

• 3 coats of Miracle Sealants 511 Porous Plus or Dry Treat Premium Impregnating Sealer during installation.

• 1 coat every 6 months thereafter.

• Seal all cut edges before installation to prevent moisture or oil penetration.
