Bianco Carrara
Bianco Carrara is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Carrara, Italy, a region renowned for producing some of the most iconic white marbles in the world. As one of the lighter white marbles from this area, Bianco Carrara offers a delicate combination of soft white tones, gentle veining, and subtle movement.
Due to seasonal conditions, many quarries in Carrara shut down during winter months, making this material one of the lesser expensive white marbles from this region. While still premium, Bianco Carrara is more accessible compared to varieties with heavier veining or rare visual features. Bianco Venatino, for example, is another popular Carrara marble with more distinctive veining and a higher price point.
Small pinholes and minor fissures may naturally occur in Bianco Carrara, as with most white marbles from this region. These characteristics do not affect performance but can become more apparent after finishing. The veins and slabs form different layers within the quarry, creating shifts in shade and movement between pieces — making it essential to preview and approve material before fabrication or installation.
Slabs are book-matched, meaning slab one and slab two mirror each other and are kept in sequence for consistent pattern flow. As with any natural stone, sealing is recommended to help protect the surface and extend its longevity.
