Belvedere

Sale price$0.00

Belvedere is a stunning granite quarried from a bedrock quarry in Namibia, celebrated for its bold contrast and luxurious natural patterning. The stone’s dark background is accentuated by ribbons of gold and white veining, which vary in direction and intensity from bundle to bundle — giving each slab a unique and elegant appearance.

Over millions of years, water has penetrated deep into this stone, creating tiny fissures that oxidized the iron and other minerals within. This natural process produces the rich, vibrant gold tones visible in the slab.

During finishing, an epoxy resin is applied to fill natural pits, cracks, or fissures. Some very fine pits may reopen over time, but this does not affect the slab’s strength or beauty. Each slab is book-matched, cut, and polished in mirrored pairs to ensure consistent flow in veining. A mesh backing is added for stability and safe handling during fabrication.

Belvedere is stocked in both Polished and Satin finishes, in 2cm and 3cm thicknesses, with typical slab dimensions of 130" × 79".
(Note: Natural stone sizes may vary.)

As a natural stone, Belvedere should be properly sealed to preserve its color and performance:

  • Apply 3 coats of Miracle Sealants 511 Porous Plus or Dry Treat Premium Impregnating Sealer during installation.

  • Reapply 1 coat every 6 months for maintenance.

  • Seal all cut edges prior to installation to prevent water or oil absorption.
